Mayor Medellin presents at Madera County EDC’s State of the County event
“Our current council and councils of the past, they have really been fiscally responsible. Our policy is to have 30% [of our budget] in reserves,” said Mayor Andy Medellin to a full house during his State of the City presentation at the MCEDC’s State of the County event. “We have over 14 million dollars in our reserves. Maybe we’ve been doing a less than stellar job in reaching our community [with that message]. What are we doing to reach out to them and say ‘here’s more information, here’s better information’ – I think we’ve addressed that.”
