- Financial Services Manager

Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, the Financial Services Manger directs, coordinates and supervises a variety of activities and operations within the Finance Department. The primary focus areas include budget development, general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial analysis, auditing, bond administration, and financial reporting. Exercises direct supervision over professional, technical, and accounting support positions. The City utilizes the Tyler Munis software system for its accounting and budgetary needs, and the incumbent will need to become well-versed in the systems' functionality and application of its various modules to ensure quality financial services and provide to the City and its residents.
- Mechanic I/II/III

The Mechanic performs routine and complex tasks and duties, including service and assistance on mechanical repairs to automobiles, trucks, tractors, buses, motor sweepers and other heavy and light power driven equipment. Promotion with the series is automatic based on experience and certifications and licenses.
- Parking Enforcement Officer-Part Time

The Parking Enforcement Officer will perform foot patrols of assigned areas enforcing the City's parking ordinance and State laws relative to parked vehicles. The Parking Enforcement Officer monitors parking time limits, marks tires on vehicles found to be in violation, and if necessary, issues citations for violations. The position is also responsible for maintaining statistical reports including, but not limited to, violations and locations of violations, bi-monthly status reports, etc. The City provides a uniform and all equipment necessary to perform the job. Bilingual English/ Spanish skills are highly desirable.
- Police Officer I/II

Police Officers are responsible for assigned law enforcement duties and responsibilities, perform tasks and duties related to the protection of public health, safety and welfare, and the enforcement of applicable federal, state and local laws; provide traffic enforcement and control; carry out special assignments in a particular phase of police work; and perform other related duties as required. The Police Officer I is the entry level position for academy graduates and those new to the law enforcement profession. The Police Officer II is the journey level position for candidates with at least 2 years of sworn public safety officer experience.
- Program Leader I

The Program Leader I duties include leading programs/activities for Madera's youth in grades K-12 in the areas of arts and crafts, sports, table games, special events, field trips, computers, homework assistance, and STEAM activities. Potential candidates must have a positive attitude and a desire to work with youth.
- Wastewater Treatment Lab Analyst/ Environmental Compliance Inspector I/II

The Wastewater Treatment Lab Analyst/ Environmental Compliance Inspector plans, organizes and conducts a variety of water pollution laboratory tests and analyses necessary for the waste water treatment plant to remain in compliance with state and federal mandates; operates and inspects the laboratory and maintains a quality level which is within EPA guidelines; performs other related duties as required.
- Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I/II/III

The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is the entry/journey level class responsible for a wide variety of plant operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant, and incumbents are expected to perform the full scope of assigned duties such as perform basic skilled water pollution control lab testing and analysis; operate, inspect, clean, repair, replace and maintain pumps, motors, filters and related equipment; conducts on-site inspections; and prepares records and logs. Classification as an Operator I/II/III is based on State certification level; promotion is automatic upon attainment of an Operator II or III certificate.
