Annual Budgets
The Annual Budget is one of the City of Madera’s most important financial planning documents. It outlines how public funds are allocated each fiscal year to support essential services, infrastructure, community programs, and long-term investments.
Developed by the Finance Department and adopted by the City Council, the budget reflects the City’s goals and priorities, ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars and transparency in how funds are managed.
What the Annual Budget Includes
- Operating Budget – Supports the day-to-day delivery of City services such as public safety, parks, utilities, and community development.
- Capital Improvement Program (CIP) – Funds long-term infrastructure projects such as streets, water systems, and facilities.
- Financial Forecasts – Provides insight into the City’s future revenue and expenditure trends to ensure long-term fiscal stability.
