The Madera Police Department offers a Citizens’ Academy to those that reside or work in the City of Madera. MPD’s Citizens’ Academy is designed to provide a better understanding of the department’s operations as well as the Madera County criminal justice system. Please see below for both a flyer with more information and an application to apply to become a member of the Madera Citizens’ Police Academy.

Madera Citizens’ Police Academy Application


    I, , hereby authorize the Madera Police Department to conduct a background investigation to obtain any information relating to my criminal history record for the purpose of making a determination of eligibility for the Citizens' Police Academy. If accepted as a participant in the academy, I agree to have no more than two absences during the thirteen (13) week class schedule or I will not receive a certificate of completion. I will abide by the rules and regulations.
