About EV Charger Permits

Pursuant to Assembly Bill 1236 and Assembly Bill 907, the City of Madera offers a streamlined permit application for electric vehicle  charging stations (EVCS), also known as Electric Vehicle Service Equipment. 

Steps to Apply

  1. Download the EVCS Minimum Submittal Requirements and Checklist by clicking on the link below which includes an installation requirement checklist.

  1. Complete the fillable form on your computer using Adobe Acrobat Reader or any other PDF software. Print the form out and email the completed application to buildingpermits@madera.gov along with the plans for the project. 
  2. The Building Department Front Counter transaction hours are from Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Please contact us at (559) 661-5440 or email buildingpermits@madera.gov to schedule an appointment for the afternoon.
