About EV Charger Permits
Pursuant to Assembly Bill 1236 and Assembly Bill 907, the City of Madera offers a streamlined permit application for electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS), also known as Electric Vehicle Service Equipment.
Steps to Apply

- Download the EVCS Minimum Submittal Requirements and Checklist by clicking on the link below which includes an installation requirement checklist.

- Complete the fillable form on your computer using Adobe Acrobat Reader or any other PDF software. Print the form out and email the completed application to buildingpermits@madera.gov along with the plans for the project.
- The Building Department Front Counter transaction hours are from Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Please contact us at (559) 661-5440 or email buildingpermits@madera.gov to schedule an appointment for the afternoon.
