Planning Applications
The Planning Division oversees the review of new development, land use changes, and property improvements within the City of Madera. Whether you’re planning a new business, housing project, signage, or other property improvement, most projects require a formal planning application to ensure compliance with local zoning regulations and design standards.
This page provides access to the forms, checklists, and resources you’ll need to begin the planning application process. You can download and print these forms from your home or office before submitting them to the Planning Division.
Submitting an Application
Most applications require both an application form and an operational statement. Some projects may also require an environmental checklist as part of a complete submittal. Before submitting your materials, we recommend contacting the Planning Division to confirm you have all required documents and the correct fees. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.
