The Madera Police Department’s Crime Prevention team is proud to be part of the community. You’ll find our team at events across the city — from job fairs and school programs to neighborhood celebrations and parades.

- “Walk Safe” programs at Martin Luther King Middle School
- Ribbon cuttings for new businesses
- Annual events such as parades, Fourth of July celebrations, and K-9 demonstrations

Our Police Department lobby offers free brochures and pamphlets on how to keep yourself, your family, and your neighborhood safe. You can also explore trusted resources from the National Crime Prevention Council for helpful tips on topics such as:
- Personal safety and situational awareness
- Home security and burglary prevention
- Identity theft protection
- Drug and alcohol abuse prevention
- Neighborhood safety and community reporting
