Fire Safety Resources

Fire safety is very important. The City funds a combined total of 24 suppression positions (including the Battalion Chief position) and one admin Battalion Chief. Both engines and the truck are regularly staffed with 3 personnel consisting of a Fire Captain and two Fire Apparatus Engineers. As the city grows so does the response of the fire department, whether it be residential, industrial or commercial growth, the fire department needs to grow to maintain an adequate service for the citizens. On larger scale incidents resources from the Madera County Fire Department will also respond.
