The City of Madera’s annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application period for projects beginning July 1, 2022, is now open.
The City’s estimated CDBG allocation for FY 2022-2023 is $1,010,000. The funds, granted through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) target programs and/or projects of local community organizations geared towards assisting low and moderate-income persons by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunity. Applicants are required to submit a Request for Funding Proposal that outlines their program/project and how it supports the goals and objectives of the CDBG program.
An informational meeting to help guide applicants through the process and answer questions will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
