The Madera Police Department is proud to host “Madera Shred” at the Madera County Fairgrounds. This is an opportunity for you as a member of our community to protect your identity by safely disposing of unneeded paperwork that contains personally identifying information that could be used to commit identity theft and fraud. The Central California Better Business Bureau is providing mobile shredding trucks; you can watch your paperwork get shredded, or leave it with Department personnel on scene who will ensure that it is safely disposed of. We are asking that you limit the number of banker-sized boxes to 5 from private persons only (no businesses, please). We will also accept donations toward community outreach events if you have more than 5 boxes for shredding.
